Our training program is led by a team of exercise physiologists, exercise scientists and movement coaches all with a strong understanding of movement. Our trainers are all qualified allied health or fitness professionals with specific training to prescribe exercise therapy for a diverse range of clientele.

 

Justin Lang

Justin has over 20 years experiencing working as a trainer.  Justin provides the philosophical underpinning of the Live Athletic approach to training and oversees the programming of all clients in our program.

Education: B.App.Sci (Sport & Exercise Science), Accredited Exercise Physiologist, ESSA AEP

Sport/Hobbies: Jiu jitsu, gymnastics strength training, calisthenics, barbell strength training

Specialisations: Sports injury rehabilitation, high performance training.

DANIEL COOPER

Daniel is the physiotherapist at Live Athletic. Daniel’s role at Live Athletic is injury assessment and providing a combination of manual therapy and exercise based rehabilitation. Daniel has a background in weightlifting as well as playing AFL.

Education: B.Ex.Sci; M.Physiotherapy

Sport/Hobbies: AFL, weightlifting

ALEXA CARDASSILARIS

Alexa works as a personal trainer and gym instructor at Live Athletic and known for her running prowess. Alexa initially started as an athlete at Live Athletic and has developed a high degree of expertise in training and coaching the movement progressions at Live Athletic.

Education: Cert III and Cert IV in Fitness and is currently studying B.Med.Sci

Sport/Hobbies: AFL, conditioning and fitness


CHRIS PETRIE

Chris is an exercise physiologist who spent six years working at Crystal Palace Football Club in the English Premier League. He has a strong background in sports science and strength and conditioning and is a wizard when it comes to analysing and interpreting sports science data.

MATTHEW POLLACK

Matthew is well known for his interpersonal skills on the gym floor at Live Athletic. Matthew has comprehensive knowledge and understanding about human movement patterns, weightlifting and injury rehabilitation.
